Mobius has designed and build an electromechanical actuator dedicated to boat self-steering system. It's been designed at first for solo racing sail boats but it finds many application for large multihull or foiling motor yacht as well. 
 

The key features of this product are :

• Internal clutch which allows to de-engage the transmission internally to reduce to the minimum the residual friction on the steering system while steering the boat by hand. This internal feature provides safety to the skipper as it will always engage when needed without searching a specific steering position. 

• Embeded double linear position sensors

• Best power density of the market as it can push 1.5 tons at 75 mm/s weighing only 11.5 kg.

• High connectivity, the product offers CANopen, Ethernet TCIP or NMEA2000 communication protocol as well as analogical control

• Compatible with a large diversity of autopilot brands like B&G, NKE, MADINTEC, RAYMARINE, etc..

• Electricaly isolated from the boat

• Aerospace grade Hard Annodized Aluminium Body

• IP68
